Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan 20: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat on Saturday presided over the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) to review the implementation of government sponsored self-employment initiatives and credit schemes across different sectors.
The agenda encompassed a detailed scrutiny of the implementation status of schemes by the line departments and banks.
In an in-depth analysis, the meeting delved into the progress achieved under critical indicators such as the Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio, implementation of annual credit plan and the saturation of farmers under different Kisan Credit Card (KCC) schemes, including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Sheep Husbandry. Notably, the district has recorded a commendable 52.24 percent CD ratio as of September 30, 2023. After a rigorous evaluation of the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for the fiscal year 2023-24 was done, DDC Om Prakash Bhagat directed bankers to prioritize lending to the priority sector.
Turning focus on the credit flow through KCC to allied sectors, the meeting highlighted that 2323 cases and 71 cases have been disbursed under the Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry Sector, respectively.
Scrutiny of special credit facilities for street vendors revealed that 77 cases have been sanctioned under PM SVANIDHI scheme, with 32 cases already disbursed. Additionally, 539 cases were sanctioned under NRLM, all have been disbursed.
The DDC also sought details on the progress of PMEGP under DIC, PMEGP KVIB, PMEGP KVIC, PMFME, NULM and JKREGP. The DC asked financial institutions to minimize the gap in cases sponsored, sanctioned, and disbursed.
Further review covered NULM, ACC, MUMKIM, Tejaswini, Ultra High Density Apple Plantation, social security schemes including PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY and Aadhar seeding of DBT accounts. The DDC directed bankers and line departments to move ahead with a focused approach to educate the public about government loan schemes to uplift their socio-economic status.
