Daksh Kesar secures gold at Arnis National Championship, set to represent India at WEKAF

JAMMU, Jan 20: In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Daksh Kesar from St Xavier Convent Sr. Sec School, Barnai, Jammu, clinched the gold medal in the under 14 category at the Arnis National Championship 2023-24 held in Kurukshetra, Haryana from January 13th to 15th.
Daksh's outstanding performance has not only brought glory to Jammu and Kashmir but has also earned him the opportunity to represent India at the prestigious 17th WEKAF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. This global event, dedicated to traditional Filipino martial arts of Arnis, is scheduled to take place in Cebu, Philippines, from July 21st to 28th, 2024.
St Xavier Convent school is beaming with pride as Daksh's victory not only reflects his individual prowess but also highlights the dedication and training provided by the school. The entire school community extends heartfelt congratulations to Daksh and eagerly anticipates his performance on the international stage.
Expressing their joy, the school authorities conveyed, "Daksh's achievement is a testament to his hard work and commitment. We are confident that he will make a mark at the WEKAF World Championship and bring further honor to our school and the nation."
In addition to Daksh's triumph, St Xavier Convent congratulates other talented Xaverian national players who excelled in various events at the Arnis National Championship. Khushi Rajput showcased her talent in Discus Throw in the Under 14 category, Vidhi Jakhotrq exhibited her skills in Pencak-Silat in the Under 14 category, and Saransh Panotra demonstrated excellence in Rhythmic Yoga in the Under 17 category.
