Distt Admin organises day-long Awareness camp on Employment Generation Schemes

BANDIPORA, Jan 20: The District Administration Bandipora on Saturday organised a day long awareness camp at mini secretariat, here.
Issues related to delay or rejection of sponsored cases of various schemes, guarantor and other bank related issues faced by the general public, especially youth, were discussed during the program.
The programme was presided over by the Vice Chairperson District Development Council (VC-DDC), Kousar Shafeeq and was attended by DDC Members, ACP Bandipora, Tehsildar Bandipora, LDM Bandipora, and District Officers of various departments, beneficiaries of various schemes and youth who want to avail benefit from various schemes. During the programme, youth raised various issues which they face while applying for various employment generation schemes. The program aimed to generate comprehensive awareness for promoting various employment generation schemes initiated by the government highlighted a range of schemes, including skill development programs, entrepreneurship initiatives, and job creation projects across different sectors.
The program also discussed various cases that are pending at the departmental level or at banks. Speaking on the occasion, the VC-DDC said that schemes initiated by the Government have potential to transform lives and contribute to economic growth. She said that such programs are fruitful for youth who want to avail benefit from various employment generation schemes. Kousar also appreciated the proactive role of the District Administration for organising such programs through which various grievances of youth were redressed and awareness was provided about different schemes.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, who is also holding charge of Handicrafts and Handloom Muzaffar Hussain, deliberated about various employment generation schemes of Government available and procedures to avail the benefits. Tehsildar Bandipora also highlighted various procedures and mechanisms required to apply for various youth oriented welfare schemes. He also deliberated on various land issues related to Government Sponsored schemes.
On the occasion, LDM Bandipora also highlighted the role of banks in final disbursement. He urged the youth and concerned line departments to complete all proper procedures before sending the case to the bank.
The LDM also directed Branch heads to take all the employment generation cases on priority and sanction the genuine cases without delay.
The program also witnessed on spot registration of youth for employment generation schemes of KVIB, KVIC, and others.
