Early Times Report

DODA, Jan 20: In a proactive move on public safety, a mega awareness event combining the National Road Safety Month with Nasha Mukt campaign unfolded at Bus Stand Thathri, today. Under the watchful supervision of Deputy Commissioner DODA, Harvinder Singh, and the guidance of ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, the event aimed to instill awareness about road safety and the perils of substance abuse. The central focus of the program was to enlighten the public, especially drivers, on the critical aspects of road safety. Emphasis was placed on adhering to traffic rules, wearing helmets, and refraining from driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Inspector MVD Doda, Robin Parihar, took the lead in communicating the objectives of the ongoing National Road Safety Month, urging individuals to actively participate in the Nasha Mukht campaign to combat the drug menace. The event also featured a pledge-taking ceremony, further solidifying the commitment to road safety.
Local officials, including police officers and government representatives, actively participated in the program to underscore the importance of adhering to road safety measures. They underscored the necessity for collective efforts in reducing road accidents and preventing incidents related to substance abuse within the community. The event served as a platform not only for education but also for fostering a sense of collective responsibility in creating safer roads and curbing substance abuse.
The combined efforts of government officials, law enforcement, and the community reflect a dedication to creating safer roadways and combating substance abuse. Through initiatives like the National Road Safety Month and Nasha Mukht Awareness program, the authorities aim to instigate lasting behavioral changes that contribute to a safer and healthier community.
