Two notorious drug peddlers arrested under PIT NDPS Act

Jammu, Jan 20: Two notorious drug peddlers have been arrested under PITNDPS by PS Satwari and PS Bakshi Nagar Jammu.
An information was received at PS Satwari through reliable sources regarding one notorious Drug Peddler namely Rashpal Singh @ Sunny @ Anda S/o Pritam Singh R/o Upper Gadi Garh, Jammu.
On this a special police team of PS Satwari led by SHO PS Satwari assisted by I/C PP Gadigarh raided at the suspected place and arrested the above said drug peddler.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person was a notorious criminal and was involved in many cases of drug peddling and dealing in narcotics. Also a warrant of arrest vide Order No. PITNDPS 64 of 2023 dated 24.11.2023 was issued against the said accused by Divisional commissioner Jammu.
Similarly another information was received at PS Bakshi Nagar regarding one notorious drug peddler namely Bobby Mehra S/O Raj Kumar R/O Tophsherkhania, Jammu who was absconding from his arrest in multiple cases.
On this special police team of PS Bakshi Nagar led by SHO PS Bakshi Nagar did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the above mentioned absconder.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person was a notorious criminal and was involved in many cases of drug peddling and dealing in narcotics. Also a warrant of arrest vide Order No. PITNDPS 64 of 2023 dated 24.11.2023 was issued against the said accused by Divisional commissioner Jammu.
Also the said accused was habitual of indulging in several cases of drug peddling. There were various cases in which accused was involved. Details of the cases accused was involved are as under:
1. 101/2021 u/s 8(a)/21/22 NDPS Act PS Bakshi Nagar
2. 129/2021 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act PS Janipur
3. 29/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act PS Gangyal.
4. FIR No. 121/2022 US 307/353 IPC PS Ramban.
Finally today in compliance to the directions of Divisonal commissioner Jammu, under Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1988 (PITNDPS) both the accused persons have been arrested and shifted to District Jail kathua.
