Chairman, JKBOSE felicitates achievers from Konark International School in IMO

JAMMU, Jan 23: In a prestigious ceremony, Prof. Parikshit S. Manhas, Chairman of JKBOSE, extended heartfelt felicitations to the outstanding students of Konark International School (KIS) who excelled in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). The felicitation event acknowledged students who achieved International Ranks, Gold Medals, and topped their classes in the IMO, the results of which were declared on January 15, 2024.
Organized annually by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a platform that exposes students to a rigorous curriculum, fostering the development of critical thinking, reasoning, and creativity. This year, Konark International School, Kootah (KIS), participated for the first time and achieved commendable results in the Olympiad.
Prof. Parikshit S. Manhas congratulated the students during the ceremony, emphasizing the challenges of the modern world and the need for continuous honing of talents and skills to face them. He expressed his wishes for the students to achieve success and happiness. Prof. Manhas also acknowledged the crucial roles played by parents and teachers in the academic development of children.
A total of eight students were honored for their outstanding achievements, with Rishul Dadotra securing the 19th rank and Trishiv Digra securing the 31st rank at the International level. Akshit Dubey achieved the 398th rank, Brisha Rajput secured the 684th rank, and Tesha Digra achieved the 833rd rank. Additionally, class toppers Tanak (Class 2nd), Divyanshi Rajput (Class 3rd), and Mridul Sangra (Class 5th) were recognized for their excellence. Anita Rani, Teacher Incharge for the IMO Olympiad, was also felicitated with a memento.
Dr. Neharica Subhash, Chairperson of KIS, expressed gratitude as she presented a memento to Chairman Prof. Parikshit S. Manhas, thanking him for his blessings and precious time. Ajay Kumar, Principal of KIS, extended a formal vote of thanks to the office of Chairman, JKBOSE, for contributing to the success of the event. The ceremony celebrated the academic achievements of the students and highlighted the school's commitment to nurturing excellence in education.
