Scientia International School defies DSEJ order to observe winter vacation till Jan 27

Jammu, Jan 23: In a clear violation of the directive passed by the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) to extend winter vacations for all schools up to the 12th standard in Jammu, Scientia International School Jammu at Roop Nagar has remained open.
Pertinently, the DSEJ, in an official order issued on 21 January stated: "In view of prevailing extreme cold conditions and in continuation to previous orders, all the schools up to 12th class functioning in summer zones of Jammu division shall observe vacations from January-22 to January-27-2024."
This extension of winter vacations was implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid the harsh weather conditions.
However, reports have surfaced that Sc
DSEJ officials have taken note of this violation and are reportedly considering appropriate action against Scientia International School Jammu. The school may face consequences for disregarding the official directive.

Parents and guardians are expressing their dismay at the school's decision, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing students' safety and health during such challenging weather conditions.

“Violating such orders not only puts students at risk but also raises questions about the commitment of educational institutions to the safety and welfare of their students,” said, a parent.
