AIIMS, Kendriya Bhandar to Introduce On-Campus Medical, Grocery Stores

JAMMU, Jan 29: In a groundbreaking move aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of its community, AIIMS Jammu has forged a strategic collaboration with Kendriya Bhandar, a Government of India enterprise under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this transformative partnership was officially signed in a ceremony held at the AIIMS Jammu campus.
Under the partnership, Kendriya Bhandar will establish two on-campus stores catering to the diverse needs of AIIMS Jammu residents and patients. The first store will focus on medical supplies, offering a comprehensive range of generic and branded medicines, implants, and surgical items. The second store is dedicated to grocery and household essentials.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS Jammu, Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, and the Medical Superintendent, Lt Gen (Dr) Sunil Kant. The Deputy Director Administration, Lt. Col. Prabhat Sharma, and Sh. Alok Kumar Parhi, Deputy General Manager of Kendriya Bhandar, represented their respective institutions.
The collaboration marks a joint commitment to provide convenient access to quality services for the AIIMS Jammu community. Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO of AIIMS Jammu, expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing the newfound convenience and accessibility of essential amenities for residents and patients.
Alok Kumar Parhi, Deputy General Manager of Kendriya Bhandar, conveyed gratitude for the opportunity to serve AIIMS Jammu. He assured the institution's commitment to providing reliable services, including grocery, dairy, stationary, and pharmaceuticals.
Residents at AIIMS Jammu will now benefit from on-campus access to a diverse range of products without leaving the premises. The grocery store is set to stock daily essentials, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for the AIIMS Jammu community.
This collaboration underscores AIIMS Jammu's dedication to enhancing the overall well-being of its residents by providing convenient access to essential services. The partnership with Kendriya Bhandar is anticipated to positively impact the lives of the AIIMS Jammu community, fostering a holistic and integrated approach to healthcare and daily living.
