JAMMU, Jan 31: Today, on January 31, 2024, the NCC Units of GDC Paloura (2 J&K Boys and 2 J&K Girls Bn.) organized a road safety awareness programme as part of the college's month-long road safety awareness initiative. The primary objective of the programme was to instill awareness about road safety among the community.
As part of this initiative, NCC Cadets from 2 J&K Boys and Girls Bn. distributed pamphlets outlining road safety rules to bike riders and car drivers. The cadets actively engaged with the local public, emphasizing the importance of helmets for both riders and pillion riders. They advised everyone to adhere to road safety rules and regulations to prevent road accidents.
The entire programme was coordinated by Prof. (Lt.) Arun Sharma, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Principal of GDC Paloura, and Col. RS Jasrotia, SM(BAR) Bn Cdr, 2 J&K Bn. The initiative reflects the college's commitment to promoting road safety awareness and ensuring the safety of road users in the community. |
