J&K Bank, Live for Others Foundation empower Menstrual Hygiene Awareness

SAMBA, Jan 31: J&K Bank, in collaboration with Live for Others - Being Helpful Foundation, achieved a significant milestone in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by organizing a "Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme" under the banner of "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)." The initiative is dedicated to promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and involves the distribution of 5,00,000 sanitary napkins along with conducting more than 100 awareness seminars across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Samba, being the 11th district to complete the mission, witnessed the distribution of over 25,100 sanitary napkins and the delivery of five impactful awareness lectures, reaching more than 2166 people. Seminars were conducted in various government and private schools, including Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Samba, and Govt. Higher Secondary School + Govt. Middle School, Nud, with Ms. Stuti Abrol serving as the resource person. "We are excited about the progress of 'Mission R-SAP' and its positive impact on women's health. Our team eagerly looks forward to expanding the initiative to other districts," said Ms. Jyoti, President National Body of LFO-BHF.
The success of the initiative was acknowledged by Sahil, Vice-President, Jammu Province, who conveyed gratitude to J&K Bank for organizing this impactful activity through their CSR fund. The Director School Education Jammu, C.E.O Samba, Counselling Cell Samba, and the Principals of all participating schools were also acknowledged for their support.
Key participants during this activity included Abhinandan, Abhishek Gupta, Vidit, Vivek Raina, Navya, and many more, reflecting the collaborative effort to empower menstrual hygiene awareness in the community.
