Randhawa distributes school uniforms among students, assures all possible help in future also

JAMMU, Jan 31: In a goodwill gesture, Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa distributed winter school uniforms among the students of Government High School in Satwari area of Jammu South RS Pura Assembly segment and assured them of all possible help in the future also.
Randhawa was accompanied by Avtar Singh Naib Sarpanch, Vishal Charak Ex Sarpanch, Mithilesh Kumari, Harpal Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Ashu Gupta, all Panchs, Bhushan Kumar, Surjeet Singh, Sajal Gupta, Ram Ch, Deepak and many others.
While speaking, Randhawa said, "These students were forced to attend school without woollens due to poor economic conditions. We did what we can to make them comfortable by providing them with clothes so that they can sit in this chill with enough layers on their body and concentrate on studies," he said.
He urged the students to keep studying and in case of need, he or she can contact him. He expressed that their main aim was to come to the rescue of the needy.
"We provide financial help to the ones who are in dire need. These children were attending school without woollens. With the little help provided by us, they may feel a bit cozy and safe. As human beings, it is our moral responsibility to come to the aid of those who are less blessed," he added.
Randhawa said it was observed that students were practising in cold weather conditions, hence, it was decided to provide them warm sweaters so that students are able to cope up with the harsh weather conditions.
He said it was the bounden duty of every citizen to ensure the safety of students in wake of inclement weather conditions. He said it would also help in saving the students from the cold weather.
Randhawa said that the Government is fully committed to provide free education to all the sections of the society. He promised that he will be available round the clock for the betterment of the younger generation.
He said, teachers should adopt new learning methods to make them competent enough, so that they can play a big role in their future for the development of themselves, family and the nation as well.
Randhawa further said that in today's world, a teacher's role is quite multifaceted.
"The teachers should spread awareness among the students about all the schemes launched by the Government for the betterment of the students", the Former Legislator added.
On the occasion, the staff members informed the visiting leader that there is a need for some upgradation in the school infrastructure.
Randhawa assured that the issues related to the school upgrade will be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
Anuradha Gupta, Principal of the school, Raj Singh Langeh, staff members and students were present on the occasion.
