Bat manufacturers sue Tramboo Sports, Sony Pictures

Srinagar, Feb 5: The Cricket Bat Manufacturers Association of Kashmir (CBMAK) has sent a legal notice to Tramboo Sports Pvt Ltd and Sony Pictures Networks for portraying Tramboo Sports as the sole manufacturer of Kashmir willow cricket bats.
The CBMAK has taken a strong note of Tramboo Sports Pvt Ltd claiming that it’s the only manufacturer of the willow cricket bats during the popular reality show "Shark Tank India '' aired on January 30 2024.
The Association through its counsel has sent a legal notice demanding an on-air apology within 15 days from both Sony Pictures Networks and Tramboo Sports. Additionally, the association has sought compensation of Rs. 100,00,00,000 (One Hundred Crores) for damages, loss, and mental agony suffered by CBMAK.
