J&K Bank breaking taboos, empowering lives to transform

JAMMU, Feb 21: J&K Bank, is proud to announce a significant milestone in their joint initiative with Live for Others - Being Helpful Foundation, "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)." This is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project by J&K Bank which is implemented by Live for Others Being Helpful Foundation aims to provide access to menstrual hygiene by distributing 5,00,000 sanitary napkins and conducting 100 awareness seminars, benefiting 50,000 people across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir and remove the taboo regarding menstruation from the society.
The 16th district to successfully complete this mission is RAMBAN, where more than 30,910 sanitary napkins were distributed, complemented by 6 impactful awareness lectures targeted more than 3,449 people. The resource person for these seminars was Babita, Jasleen & Aparna.
These activities were carried out in government as well as private schools located in peripheral areas, namely Govt. Higher Secondary School Ukhral, Govt. Higher Secondary School + Govt. Middle School Ramsoo, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Banihal, Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School Ramban, Govt. Higher Secondary School Batote and Govt. High School Dalwas, Ramban.
"We are thrilled with the progress of 'Mission R-SAP' and the positive impact it's having on women's health and hygiene and currently we are looking forward to others districts and our team is simultaneously working on it said, Vishal Singh, CO-Founder & COO of LFO-BHF.
LFO-BHF extends their gratitude to the Director School Education Jammu, C.E.O Ramban, Principals of all the participating schools and also thanks go to J&K Bank for organising this activity with their CSR fund said Shubam, President Jammu Province of LFO-BHF.
