Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 21: In a concerted effort to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS and promote awareness among the youth, SPVLG Foundation joined forces with the JK AIDS Control Society to organize a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention awareness program in Jammu. Held on February 12, 2024, at the Govt. Higher Secondary School, Gole Gujral, Jammu, the event garnered enthusiastic participation from students and young adults, marking a significant milestone in the region's ongoing efforts to address this global health challenge.
The collaborative initiative between SPVLG Foundation and the JK AIDS Control Society underscored their shared commitment to tackling the multifaceted issues surrounding HIV/AIDS through education and community engagement. Through a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions, participants gained crucial insights into HIV/AIDS, including its modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the imperative of destigmatizing the disease.
Emphasis was placed on promoting safe behaviors and fostering a supportive environment for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. The program aimed not only to disseminate information but also to instill a sense of responsibility and empowerment among attendees in combating the spread of the virus.
The successful execution of the event was made possible by the generous support of the JK AIDS Control Society, whose sponsorship played a pivotal role in its realization. The society's steadfast dedication to public health and community welfare has been instrumental in driving initiatives aimed at curbing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the region.
As the program concluded, participants were encouraged to become advocates for HIV/AIDS prevention within their communities, leveraging their newfound knowledge to educate others and promote positive behavioral change. SPVLG Foundation and the JK AIDS Control Society reiterated their unwavering commitment to promoting health, education, and well-being, pledging to continue their collaborative efforts in advancing the fight against HIV/AIDS and building a healthier future for all.
