JKAACL celebrates rich cultural heritage of J&K with spectacular program at IIM Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 21: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages today presented a vibrant cultural extravaganza at IIM Jammu, showcasing the region's diverse traditions, music, dance, and art.
The event, set on to captivate audiences, aimed to celebrate the inauguration of IIM Jammu by the Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi.
Attendees enjoyed a mesmerizing display of traditional dances, soulful music performances, and exquisite folk dances of J&K, offering a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of Jammu and Kashmir's cultural identity.
From the melodious tunes of traditional folk songs to the intricate movements of graceful dance forms, the program was a feast for the senses.
In the beginning, Prof. B.S.Sahay, Director IIM, Jammu welcomed and felicitated Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL under whose guidance this spectacular program was presented.
The programme began with the Ganesh Vandana by the artists of JKAACL which was followed by the melodious singing by the talented singers like Vanshika Jaral, Rakesh Malhotra and Master Vicky. They were equally supported by the renowned musicians like Rakesh Anand on Flute, Darbari Lal on Tabla, Krishan Kumar on Synthesizer, Rajeev Kumar of Dholak and Aman on Octopad. The main attractions of the program were Kashmiri Pandit dance Veeg Vachun and Dogri Jagarna. The program concluded with the thrilling Bhangra by the artists.
The cultural program presented by the artists of Academy fostered a deeper appreciation for the unique cultural fabric of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dignitaries who joined the program in experiencing the magic of Jammu and Kashmir's cultural program and celebrating the beauty of diversity included Prof. B.S.Sahay, Director IIM , Jammu, Sh. Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL, Cmdr Kesavan Baskkaran, Chief Administrative Officer, IIM, Jammu , Prof. Jabir Ali and others.
The program was ably conducted by Ms. Mitali Gupta.
