Introductory meeting sets stage for 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Mar 2: In anticipation of the upcoming 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship, an introductory meeting convened at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, under the chairmanship of Shri Vijay Kumar-IPS ADGP Armed/L&O J&K. Managers representing all participating teams graced the occasion, presenting their introductions and sharing their professional backgrounds.
Addressing the assembly, Shri Vijay Kumar extended a warm welcome to the team managers, technical staff, and esteemed police and civil officers, elucidating the grandeur of the forthcoming seven-day event. He emphasized the collaborative efforts required from various committees to ensure the event's resounding success. Stressing the importance of feedback, the ADGP urged team managers to provide insights regarding essential arrangements such as accommodation and transportation, tailored for the convenience of all participating teams.
Miss Bilkis Mir, Competition Director, offered an overview of the championship's magnitude, setting the tone for the forthcoming extravaganza.
Distinguished officers present at the meeting included S/Shri Vidhi Kumar Birdi-IPS IGP Kashmir, Rajive Omprakash Pande-IPS DIG CKR Srinagar, Shahid Mehraj-IPS DIG Armed Kmr, Abdul Qayoom-IPS DIG IRP Kmr, along with commandants of Kashmir-based AP/IR Battalions, Showkat Hussain SSP PCR Kashmir, Muzafar Hussain Shah-SSP Traffic Kashmir, Kuldeep Handoo DySP (Sports) APHQ, Director SKICC Srinagar, and other notable officials.
With the introductory meeting setting the stage for collaboration and meticulous planning, anticipation mounts for the thrilling showcase of athleticism and camaraderie at the 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship, scheduled from March 3rd to 8th, 2024, at SKICC Srinagar.
