3/9/2024 10:18:31 PM
Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 9: The vigilant efforts of the Samba Police have thwarted yet another attempt at bovine smuggling within the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. In a swift operation, a Police team from Police Post Mansar, led by the Incharge, intercepted a Mahindra load carrier vehicle during routine vehicle checks at naka Mansar. Upon thorough inspection, the team uncovered four bovines cruelly laden inside the vehicle, evidently being transported illegally without proper authorization. The animals were found tied in a manner indicative of their mistreatment and were promptly rescued by the authorities.
The perpetrator behind this illicit activity has been identified as Talab Hussain, son of Mohd. Bashir, hailing from Maralian, RS Pura district Jammu. Talab Hussain has been apprehended by the authorities, and the vehicle, bearing registration number JK02CH-9934, has been seized as evidence.
In response to the incident, a case under FIR No. 62/2024 has been registered at Police Station Samba, citing violations under sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act. The investigation into the matter has been initiated to ensure that all involved parties are held accountable for their actions.
The decisive action taken by the Samba Police underscores their unwavering commitment to curbing illegal activities, particularly those that exploit and endanger innocent animals. Such operations not only safeguard the welfare of livestock but also serve to uphold the law and maintain public order within the community.
