SAMBA, Mar 13: The Department of Sociology at SPPND Govt. Degree College, Samba, organized a Quiz Competition on Social Change and Development as part of the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative. The event, held under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college, witnessed enthusiastic participation from Sociology students.
Four teams, each comprising five students, engaged in the competition, aiming to promote academic excellence, critical thinking, and teamwork. Collaborating to tackle challenging questions, the teams fostered a sense of community and shared achievement.
The jury members, Prof. Seema Sharma and Prof. Sarabpreet Kour, oversaw the event. The team consisting of Rosy, Monika, Shama, and Deepika from Semester 4 emerged as winners, recognized for their outstanding performance.
Events like these aim to inspire and empower students to explore the limitless possibilities of knowledge. The coordination of the entire event was overseen by Priya Sharma, Manish, and Sahil from Semester 4, under the guidance of HOD Sociology, Meenakshi Thakur. |
