Jammu, Mar 22: The UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at Central University of Jammu successfully completed a comprehensive Faculty Development Program (FDP), under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain. It was designed to offer an in-depth orientation and sensitization on Skill Development, aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s objectives.
During the Valedictory Session, chief guest Prof. Suram Singh, Dean Academics, congratulated the organizing team and highlighted University’s commitment to implementation and promoting skill development in contemporary education. Prof. Rishi Raj Sharma of Guru Nanak Dev University, Gurdaspur, was guest of honor and joined virtually in the event. He congratulates the whole team of MMTTC Central University Jammu for successfully organizing the FDP. Dr. Neelika Arora, Director of UGC-MMTTC, Central University of Jammu, in her welcome address, informed that for this FDP we receive 130 registrations from Faculty members of various educational institutions from 63 universities across the country. 60% of the participants were male and 40 % were females. 68% of the participants were at Assistant professor Level. About 60% of the participants are teaching in professional programmes. Out of which about 50% are from Hotel & Tourism Management and 30 % from Engineering & Technology background.
Dr. Akshay Kumar, Deputy Director of UGC-MMTTC, Central University of Jammu presents a brief background about the theme of FDP.
He also informed that The FDP was extended into 16 sessions and 16 esteemed resource persons from various institutes and of various fields deliver their precious talk to the participants.
