SVEEP activity/voting awareness programme conducted at GDC Khour 4/1/2024 10:22:07 PM Early Times Report KHOUR, Apr 1: NSS and NCC units of Government Degree College Khour in collaboration with the Department of Political Science conducted SVEEP activity/voting awareness programme sponsored by the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate (Assistant Returning Officer 82-Chhamb) with the theme "My Vote My Duty". The programme was witnessed by a large number of students of the College including Principal, faculty members and the Designated SVEEP team members namely Sunil Kumar, AEE Irrigation, Surinder Kumar, AE Irrigation & Mohinder Kumar, Master Trainer. About 09 students of the College participated in the symposium on the Importance of Voting in Democracy and expressed their ideas and views on the topic and the session was made more interactive. All speakers emphasized on the importance and need of voting in the upcoming elections. The master trainer of the SVEEP team gave the great insight of various guidelines and directions related to elections and urged the students to act as messengers of Election Commission of India to take this voter awareness campaign to the maximum reach. The Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) T.K Sharma also appealed participants to come forward and uphold the Democratic tradition of our country by casting their vote fearlessly. The whole event was organized by Prof. Himanshu Khajuria NSS PO and Prof. Rashmi Sharma HOD Political Science. The event concluded with the pledge taking ceremony. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Rashmi.
