GDC Purmandal organizes Parent's Meet, Prize distribution function

JAMMU, Apr 20: Parent's Meet and Prize distribution function was organized at GDC Purmandal on 20 th of April, 2024 in the presence of chief guest, Prof. Ashok Aima [Former Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu], Guest of Honor, Prof. B.L. Zutshi [President of Hindu Education Society Kashmir], Dr. Bharat Bhushan Sharma [former Principal and Head Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti] and Special Guest, Gurmeet Singh from Bharat Vikas Parishad. The function began with the lighting of the tradition lamp and the release of college NewsLetter "RISE" of session 2023-24 by chief guest and other guests. The Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar formally welcomed all the guests especially parents of the students and presented the Annual Day report highlighted the all round achievements of the college during the year 2023-24.
The chief guest, Prof. Ashok Aima in his speech appreciated the college authority for taking various initiatives for overall growth and progress of the students. Prof. B.L. Zutshi emphasized the importance of holistic development and encouraged students to not only excel academically but also to engage in extracurricular activities. Prof. [Dr.] Bharat Bhushan Sharma also shared his valuable views on the occasion and applauded the achievements of the students across various discipline. The parents were quite happy as they got opportunity to interact with faculty members of the college.
The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region through a series of vibrant and captivating cultural performances. The students who had brought laurels in academics and extracurricular activities were rewarded with certificates and trophies. The proceedings of the day were conducted by Prof. Shahima Akhter [Convener, Dean Students' Welfare]. The whole programme was coordinated by Prof. Shahima Akhter, Dr. Preeti Rachna, Prof. Pallavi & Dr. Nazia Bibi.
