Humanity Public School celebrated “Earth Day”

Jammu, Apr 23: ‘Lets join hands on Earth Day to make our Earth a better place to live in, with this thought, the morning at Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana was reverberated with excitement and enthusiasm of their students who were all geared upto create awareness on environment thus celebrating the occasion of Earth Day. The students were engaged in meaningful activities to show their devotion and admiration for Mother Earth. Principal of the School, Mr. Gaurav Charak, Vice Principal, Mrs Anku Charak along with the Incharges of different wings. Ms. Akashdeep Raina (Senior Incharge), Mr. Prasidh Singh (Hr. Sec. Wing Incharge), Ms. Namrta Sharma (High Wing Incharge), Ms. Vandana Sharma (Primary Wing Incharge), Er. Varinder Kumar (IT Incharge), Ms. Shivani Sharma (Coordinator of Pre-Primary Wing), Ms. Meenu Khajuria (Activity Incharge), and Mahan Singh (Sports Incharge) contributed significantly in the Earth Day celebration. A special assembly was organised to remind everyone about their responsibility towards Mother Earth. Students delivered speeches and recited poems. Arpita and Anshika of class 9th delivered their speeches and Aradhya of class 6th and Prachi of class 5th recited poems on Earth Day. It was followed by a thought – provoking skit beautifully performed by the students of classes 4th, 6th and 7th.
Senior Incharge, Mr. Akashdeep Raina in his speech encouraged the students by explaining to them about the importance of trees and plants in sustaining life.
Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak addressed the gathering and said that the main aim of the event was to motivate and spread awareness among the students on some of the ways to save Mother Earth. He also informed that the day focuses on promoting clean living and on a healthy, sustainable habitat for the people, flora and fauna etc.
The presenter of the programme was Angel of class 8th. Vice Principal of the school, Mrs. Anku Charak lauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to motivate their peers – to indulge in environment friendly activities.
