This initiative was part of the Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign.
Addressing the gathering, Umesh Chander Sharma, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Purmandal, emphasized the pivotal role elections play in shaping the nation's future. He underscored the significance of selecting competent candidates to lead the government and elucidated how voting empowers citizens to effectuate change.
Akashdeep Raina, Senior Incharge of Humanity Public School, reiterated the importance of elections as a platform for citizens to voice their opinions and elect representatives who reflect their interests.
As part of the campaign, a spirited cycle rally was organized by the District Youth and Sports Services Department, starting from the school premises and culminating at Bari Brahmana Chowk. The rally aimed to raise awareness among the community regarding the upcoming elections and the importance of casting their votes.
Students also took center stage during the event, with speeches by Khusbhoo, Nimratpal Singh, and Abneet Kour from classes 9th and 10th, who eloquently spoke on the theme "Election: My Vote, My Right," garnering praise from attendees.
Principal Gaurav Charak urged the school staff to exercise their voting rights diligently, emphasizing the role of every vote in shaping a government that works for the welfare of its citizens. Vice Principal Ms. Anku Charak echoed his sentiments, stressing the significance of active participation in the electoral process.
In a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, candies were distributed to students and staff members by the organizers, further fostering enthusiasm for civic engagement and responsible voting.
