IHRSC Shines at 5th National Ranking Roller Skating C’ship

JAMMU, MAY 5: The Indian Hawks Roller Skating Club (IHRSC) has distinguished itself at the 5th National Ranking Roller Skating Championship held in Amritsar 2024, securing two national champions and a total of 18 medals.
The outstanding performance of the skating club garnered widespread acclaim, underscoring the remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship displayed by its athletes throughout the championship. Uday Narayan and Puneesh Puri, representing IHRSC, emerged as National Ranking Champions in the under 17 and under 14 age categories respectively, marking a momentous achievement for the club and its supporters.
The success of these skaters reflects their unwavering commitment to excellence, fueled by dedicated training, expert coaching, and sheer perseverance.
Ashok Gandotra (Chief Engineer Retd.), President of IHRSC, lauded the exceptional accomplishments of the skaters and urged them to maintain their focus and dedication to the sport. He emphasized that consistency and seriousness towards their craft would pave the way for even greater milestones in the future.
The impressive medal haul includes seven gold medals, eight silver medals, and three bronze medals, highlighting the breadth of talent within the club.
The medalists include Tabish Haider Chib (1 Bronze), Tamanna Saini (1 Gold, 1 Silver), Vanshaj (1 Silver, 1 Bronze), Puneesh Puri (2 Gold, 1 Silver) (National Champion), Uday Narayan (3 Gold) (National Champion), Kartikeya Puri (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze), Samarjot Singh (3 Silver), and Prageet Kour (1 Silver).
The remarkable achievements of IHRSC at the national championship serve as a testament to the club’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in roller skating.
