GDC Vijaypur organises Lecture on Rabindra Nath Tagore: A Naturalist Philosopher

JAMMU, May 8: NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur organizes Special Lecture on Rabindra Nath Tagore guided by the unwavering vision of Principal of the College Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta. Lecture was organized on the theme 'RabindraNath Tagore: A Naturalist Philosopher' to celebrate birth anniversary of the famous poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher and a social reformer. The lecture was also aimed at imparting information about the awareness of voting and its rights.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Head Department of Education to provide knowledge to the students regarding the life history of Rabinder Nath Tagore and his contributions in the field of Education, as a naturalist philosopher. In her lecture She focused that as a naturalist philosopher Tagore always advocated freedom and liberty for the students in the educational environment and how his philosophy helped in developing a child-centered education system. The program was attended by faculty members, college students and NSS volunteers of the college.
The program received positive feedback from the students, who found it informative and engaging. Students actively attended the lecture. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Vandana Gupta appreciated the efforts of the NSS in organizing such an informative and educative lecture and also for awaring students about The educational contributions of Rabinder Nath Tagore.
