AKHNOOR, May 14: The fourth day of the Inter-School Zonal Level Sports Competitions, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Akhnoor, saw enthusiastic participation in Kadabbi, Volleyball, and Chess competitions for U-14 and U-17 girls' categories at the Indoor Stadium, Akhnoor, on Thursday.
Under the chairmanship of the District Youth Services & Sports Office, Jammu, and the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Akhnoor, Ashok Kumar, the competitions cum trials are underway.
Approximately 600 students from various government and private schools of Zone Akhnoor participated in the competitions, showcasing their talent in their respective games. The primary objective of the competition is to identify and select the best talent in each discipline for further participation in the Inter Zonal District Level Competitions. ZPEO Akhnoor advised the players to remain engaged with their respective sports, as the next level of competition is scheduled to commence within days at the District Headquarters.
The event's chief guest, Vice Principal GGHSS, Akhnoor, lauded the budding talent and commended the staff of DYS&S Zone Akhnoor for conducting the tournament seamlessly.
