Shiksha Niketan remembers its founder

JAMMU, May 14: Late Dev Dutt Mengi, the Founder Principal- Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar/Jeevan Nagar was born on 13th of May, 1911. During his lifetime, Late Dev Dutt Mengi adorned the chair of the District Educational Officer, and also worked as the 1st Principal of K.V. Gandhi Nagar from 1967-69.
Late Dev Dutt Mengi was a Legendary Educationist who had a Visionary and Philanthropiatic ideology to serve the society with the ornament of Education, and laid the Foundation of Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar in the vicinity of Gole Market area of Gandhi Nagar which has now flourished into its sister concerns-1.Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar 2.Pushp Vatika- a Pre-Primary Playway School, Jeevan Nagar 3.RMPS Chowadhi-Sainik Colony 4.Penguin Paradise, Chowadhi.
Shiksha Niketan, since its establishment in 1969, and Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar in 1993, has been commemorating the Birth Anniversary of its Founder Principal Late Dev Dutt Mengi. Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar too, celebrated the "113th Birth Anniversary Day" with the Shubharamb of the Ramayan Paath on 12th of May, 2024 and the Ramayana Bhog/Smappan on 13-05-24. On 13-05-23, the Preeti Bhoj will also be served to all the gathered Near and Dear (Relatives of Mengi Family, the Invited Guests and the Intelligentia. All the School Students (Boys & Girls, the School Staff and Everyone present there.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar today. i.e. on 14th May, 2024 paid homage to the founder Principal Late Dev Dutt Mengi on his 41st Death Anniversary as Shanti Diwas. Rameshwar Mengi (the Principal of the School), Rita Mengi (the trustee of RMPS), Rakshan Mengi (the Director of RMPS), Risheek Mengi (the Director of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar & Pushp Vatika), Incharges, faculty members and all the students were present there to pay the tribute to the great soul. He was a great prolific personality, the retired DEO in Education Department because of his greatness, noble words, he is still remembered by one and all. The Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi threw light on the importance of the day and told the students about the great achievements of the founder Principal and encouraged the students to keep in mind his thoughts and to follow his footsteps of success. Shabad Kirtan and Bhajans were performed in the holy atmosphere by the students of the School. Everyone present in the school paid homage to the great soul by offering flowers and garlands to the statue of the Founder Principal of the School. At last, Prasad was served among all on the occasion.
