NAGROTA, May 18: Sainik School Nagrota bids farewell to its esteemed Principal, Captain AK Desai, who has successfully navigated the institution through unprecedented challenges during his tenure.
Appointed during testing times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Captain AK Desai guided the school to remarkable achievements in academics and sports. Under his command, Sainik School Nagrota achieved numerous milestones, including hosting the North Zone Sports event with participation from eight schools, clinching victories in Inter-Zonal and IPSC volleyball championships, and facilitating the historic entry of the first female cadet into the National Defence Academy (NDA).
Moreover, Captain AK Desai's tenure witnessed the realization of significant infrastructure projects, including the Foundation for construction of a Girls Hostel, expansion of the Academic block, and the creation of Mural walls commemorating the valorous battles fought.
The school organized a Dinner Night and special morning assembly to honor Captain AK Desai's contributions and to bid him farewell.
As Captain (IN) AK Desai embarks on a new chapter, the reins of Sainik School Nagrota are entrusted to the capable hands of Captain (IN) Shibu Devasia, who assumes the role of Principal on May 15, 2024. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, Captain Shibu Devasia is poised to lead the school to greater heights of success.
In similar lines, Chinar Primary School gave a warm farewell to Mrs Parveen Akhtar A Desai, who made valuable contributions to the school in the capacity of Honorary Headmistress of the school for the last three years. |
