Expert talk on understanding cognitive limitations of students held at MAM College

JAMMU, May 24: The Career Counseling Cell, in collaboration with the Academic Club of The Maulana Azad Memorial College, a constituent college of Cluster University of Jammu, organized an insightful expert talk on May 24, 2024. The session, titled "Understanding Cognitive Limitations of Students for Better Teaching Experience," aimed to equip educators with a deeper understanding of student behavior and cognitive challenges.
The resource person for the event was Prof. Amitash Ojha from IIT Jammu, who delivered a comprehensive lecture on various methods to understand students' perceptions and behaviors. He emphasized the evolving nature of student behavior across the globe and how it impacts teaching methodologies. Prof. Ojha's insights provided valuable predictions on contemporary student behavior, stressing the importance of adapting teaching strategies to meet these changes.
Prof. B.B. Anand, Principal of the college, addressed the audience, highlighting the crucial role of teachers in shaping students' futures. He encouraged faculty members to continually improve and adapt their teaching approaches to better connect with and understand their students.
The event saw participation from faculty members across various streams, demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development and student-centric teaching. Dr. Bharti Slathia concluded the session with a vote of thanks, appreciating the valuable contributions of Prof. Ojha and the enthusiasm of the attendees.
