CUJ signs MoU with AAI

JAMMU, May 28: Department of Electronics and Communication (DoECE), Central University of Jammu (CUJ) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India under the aegis of the Ministry of civil Aviation, Government of India. The formal signing ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu, and Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Airport Director Jammu. This significant collaboration was initiated by Prof. Rakesh Kumar Jha, Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (DoECE) and Dr. Rajan Badyal, Public Relation Officer at CUJ.
The MoU aims to enhance a mutually beneficial partnership between the university and the airport, focusing on student internships, and skill development programs. This alliance will provide students with practical exposure to airport operations, advanced communication systems, and cutting-edge technology used in the aviation sector.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration. "This MoU marks a pivotal moment for the Central University of Jammu. It will open new avenues for our students with invaluable firsthand exposure to the intricacies of airport operations and the diverse facets of civil aviation. As a part of this initiative, students will have the opportunity to participate in live demonstrations of airport projects and activities, as well as engage in two to five days of familiarization visits and workshops. Furthermore, they will be eligible for internships lasting four to twenty weeks at Airports and regional corporate offices.
Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Airport Director of Jammu, highlighted the importance of such collaborations in bridging the gap between academia and industry. "We are delighted to partner with the Central University of Jammu. This initiative will not only benefit the students but also contribute to the innovation and development of airport operations. The Airport Director further said that we look forward to working closely with the Central University Jammu on various projects and initiatives.
