NEW DELHI, May 28: On the 26th May 2024, the cadets of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat were organized a campaign for prevention and awareness of HIV/AIDS in waknaghat. The day started at 8:30am where cadets gathered at the town square as a starting point for their awareness rally. This event aimed to educate the public, particularly the youth, about the risks, prevention methods, and the importance of eradicating the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
The HIV/AIDS Prevention and Awareness Rally conducted by the cadets of 1 HP BN NCC Solan was a dynamic and impactful event that included several key activities designed to educate and engage the community. The rally began at the town square near the university on a sunny Sunday morning and ended at the university Gate, with participants carrying banners and placards bearing powerful messages on HIV/AIDS prevention and support. Along the route, cadets performed street plays and delivered public addresses to debunk myths, explain modes of transmission, and promote preventive measures. Informational pamphlets were distributed to the public, providing essential details on HIV testing and care. The campaign successfully raised awareness, fostered community support, and highlighted the importance of combating stigma and discrimination against those living with HIV/AIDS.
Slogans with powerful important social messages were being chanted by the enthusiastic cadets which further alerted the public and passer-bys The HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness campaign not only educated the public on critical health issues but also fostered a supportive environment for those affected by HIV/AIDS. Continued efforts and similar initiatives are essential to sustain and build on the progress made in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
