No 'incentive' to ultras' families another step to root-out terrorism: Adv Purnima
5/28/2024 10:24:00 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 28: Advocate Purnima Sharma, Spokesperson BJP, J&K and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, on Tuesday said that denying government jobs to family members of terrorists in J&K is Modi Government's another effective step to completely root out terrorism.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior party functionary said that the announcement made by none other than Home Minister Amit Shah himself claiming that the families of terrorists will not be eligible for government jobs, aims at dismantling the support structures that sustain terrorism and ensure that government resources are reserved only for law-abiding citizens.
"We stand firmly behind Home Minister Amit Shah's aforementioned statement that families of terrorists will not be entitled to government jobs. This step is crucial in Modi Government's ongoing efforts to root out terrorism from J&K, and ensure the safety and prosperity of all," she said, adding that the government maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
Adv Purnima said that by denying government jobs to families of terrorists, Modi Government has sent a clear message that those involved in anti-national activities will face serious consequences as the aforesaid measure is designed to disrupt the cycle of terrorism. "By removing incentives and support for those who engage in or support terrorist activities, Modi Government aims to weaken the structures that perpetuate violence and unrest", she maintained.
The former Deputy Mayor said that the Modi government's firm stance on national security and its comprehensive strategy to eradicate terrorism by denying government incentives to the families of terrorists, as articulated by Home Minister Amit Shah is precisely the most effective step in deterring those who still dare to trigger unrest through abetting terrorism and separatism.
She said that the BJP Government shall not take rest until the last man involved in terrorism is either jailed or eliminated in this fight against violence and fear-mongering.
