Jammu, May 28: Tarun Sharma was born in Jammu, India in a Sharma Hindu family.He is a son of Dinesh Sharma and Pooja Sharma .
Presently Tarun Sharma is an active social worker , Actor , Director, Martial artist, President Nat Manch, President Japan Shotokan Karate-Do kanninjuku Organization J&K, President Shri Bhagwan Parshuram Trust J&K youth wing , Head Cultural cell BJP Youth wing J&K .
Tarun Sharma is a Former President YUVA , Former General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Brahman Sabha, Former Secretary PMJKKY , Former National member of World Brahman Federation National Youth Team and Former member AKAJK. Tarun Sharma was an Ambassador of J&K Government Department CCDU in the year of 2018 and Sanskarshala programme of Dainik Jagarn Hindi National newspaper 2018 to 2019 .
Tarun Sharma is working for the welfare of society on various issues like Plastic Waste Management Programme , Blood Donation , Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, plantation drives, Water conservation, creating awareness for improvement of the status of women, free coaching classes to underprivileged students , free self-defence training for girl child & womens , drugs awareness camp with theme “ Say No to Drugs “ and environmental awareness programmes .
In the pandemic time of COVID-19, he did an excellent humanitarian service for the welfare of society by his work. He provide food , dry rations , hygienic kit , masks , sanitizers, saintiary pads to thousands in need and helping them access government aid.He organised number of medical and Ayurvedic camps .Till now he has donated 21 times blood and planted more than 3000 saplings.
Tarun Sharma has been involved in various artistic endeavors including Theatre programs , Street plays ( Nukkad Natak ) , mega events, Short films , Video songs , Bhajan , advertisements, Reality Shows and Films .
Tarun Sharma with his acting and direction has graced number of Video songs , advertisements, Tv serial and Films for various channels and production house.
Tarun Sharma won the Title of Mr. Jammu and Mr. North India in 2009. Tarun Sharma of Jammu and Kashmir won Talent Hunt Online competition with more than 30000 shares.This talent hunt online competition was being presented by Entertainment Channel of Boss Punjabi TV Canada in which more than two hundred and fifty boys and girls from all over the world participated.
Tarun Sharma directed and acted in morethan 1000 nukkad nataks with the theme of social issues. Tarun Sharma have also done National School of Drama ( NSD ) Theatre Workshop.
Tarun Sharma with his team made a record of 51 nukkad natak plays in one day at different places in Jammu.
Tarun Sharma has been the host of All India Radio Jammu and Kashmir’s program “Meri Paasand”. Tarun Sharma also presented its own reality show ‘Jammu Boys’ through which many participants from different parts of the State participated.Tarun Sharma acted as main Character of Tarun Choudhary in serial “ Naya Kurukshetra “ by Canvas Films and TV telecasted DD Prabha , DD National and Zee Prime in the year of 2021.Tarun Sharma’s Documentary film “ Paani “ awarded with Best Documentary Film in 2nd Karnataka International Film Festival 2022.
In karate, Tarun Sharma learned different martial arts including Goju-ryu, Gi Toku Kai, Shotokan , Shito-ryu and Seiko KAI. He is 3rd Dan Black Belt from Style and National Federation, won 2 time gold medal for India,Judge & Referee from National Federation Karate India Organisation (KIO) , President Japan Shotokan Karate-Do kanninjuku Organization J&K, EX. Member Amateur Karate-Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK).
Tarun sharma trained morethan 5000 people from all over India.He organised and participated in number of Karate Championship and camps for promotion of Karate . Tarun Sharma honoured with the certificate of World Honour Records for The World Record of “ Maximum People Performing Karate and Taekwondo Part 1 “ is mass Achieved by World Honour Records, India in the year of 2019. Tarun Sharma has been awarded an honorary doctorate from SN Foundation of India and Sahara Charitable Trust in recognition of his outstanding contributions to art and the Sports in the year of 2023 .
Recently Tarun Sharma honoured with “ Vishwa Ratna Samman “ 2024
Tarun Sharma tireless efforts have earned his numerous accolades.
