RAJOURI, May 28: To bolster the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, a one-day training program was convened today, here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dakbunglow. The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat. The event, which served as a platform for collective learning and advocacy, underscored the pivotal role of grassroots workers in fostering the objectives of the BBBP campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner, in his inaugural address, emphasized the paramount importance of gender equality and women empowerment. He articulated the core objectives of the BBBP initiative, urging all stakeholders to redouble their efforts towards its effective implementation.
Addressing the gathering, the DC reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Government to ensuring the holistic development and protection of the girl child. He underscored the need for concerted action at all levels of society to eradicate gender-based discrimination and promote equal opportunities for girls to thrive and excel.
During the training program, the participants were equipped with valuable insights and strategies to effectively advocate for the rights and well-being of girls.
Earlier, the District Social Welfare Officer, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt underscored the imperative of sustained collaboration to translate aspirations into tangible outcomes. He also sought continued support from the concerned stakeholders in facilitating the implementation of the BBBP program and called upon all stakeholders to actively contribute towards its success.
The event concluded on a note of optimism and resolve, with participants galvanized to champion the cause of gender equality and girl child empowerment.
