GDC, Bishnah celebrated Anti- Tobacco Day

JAMMU, May 31: NSS wing in collaboration with the Department of Punjabi and Anti- Drug Club observed "World No Tobacco Day" today on 31st May 2024 under the able guidance of Prof- Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college. In this much awaited event around sixty students participated and showed keen interest in the proceeding of the function. The programme commenced with the welcome address, throwing light on the topic which was followed by the screening of the movie on "Anti-tobacco Day". After this awareness movie Dr. Anshu Sharma, resource person of the occasion delivered a lecture on Anti-drugs in context of organ donation. As the inspiration lecture over the pledge on "Anti Tobacco Day" was taken by staff and students of the college. While speaking on the occasion Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college exhorted students to abstain from Tobacco and toxin substance and emphasized onto adopt healthy life style. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ratika Sharma Convener, Anti -Drug Club and Dr. Geeta Lakhotra NSS. PO. Dr. Nisar Ahmed Bulla, convener IQAC and other faculty members graced the occasion with their auspicious presence. Towards the end vote of thanks was extended to the dignitaries and students of the college and Higher secondary school.
