Early Times Report

Jammu, May 31: Amid reports that Congress is trying to involve Mehbooba Mufti in a proposed grand alliance in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference president and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah has extended an olive branch to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah came in support of Mehbooba Mufti after the local administration booked the PDP chief for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct.
“Mehbooba Mufti has not violated the Model Code of Conduct. It was her right to ask about whereabouts of the her party workers who were detained by the police on the eve of polling”, he said and pointed out that workers and polling agents of the opposition parties were detained without any reason. I congratulate Mehbooba Mufti for coming in support of her workers and polling age

I congratulate Mehbooba Mufti for coming in support of her workers and polling agents.
Mehbooba Mufti has not violated the MCC, it was her right to seek whereabouts of her party workers.
The Congress leadership is trying to convince the top leadership of both parties to bury the past and make a decision for the future.
ts”, Farooq said.
Farooq Abdullah’s appreciation of Mehbooba Mufti is a clear indication that the National Conference would try to iron out differences with PDP before the announcement of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
As reported exclusively by this newspaper, the Congress leadership has taken the initiative to form a grand alliance comprising the NC, PDP, and Congress to jointly fight the BJP in the next assembly elections in J&K.
Although the National Conference and PDP exchanged barbs during campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress leadership is trying to convince the top leadership of both parties to bury the past and make a decision for the future.
The NC and PDP had jointly contested the District Development Councils (DDCs) elections when both parties were constituents of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).
