Cyber Cell solved online financial fraud amounting to Rs 1,47,450

JAMMU, May 31: Cyber Cell of DPO Jammu solved three separate online cyber crime complaints.
A complaint was received regarding financial fraud of Rs.62,450/.The complainant received a phone call on WhatsApp regarding task of review on hotels and restaurants and earn money.Victim invested money there and lost an amount of Rs. 62,450/.
One complaint was received regarding financial fraud of Rs.52,000/- in which complainant saw a post on telegram about investment . The victim invested Rs 52,000.Later complainant come to know that its a fraud.
A complaint of financial fraud of Rs 35,000/ in which victim searched a Bank for online loan from google and contacted with the bank officials and they suggested him to download a Loan App in which victim had to pay some security fees and defrauded him with an amount of Rs. 35,000.
During the investigation, the Cyber Cell DPO Jammu, acted swiftly and exhibited hectic efforts which ultimately led to put on hold an amount of Rs 1,24,450/- out of 1,47,450/. in these three separate online cyber crime complaints . Further investigation is underway.
District Police Jammu, equipped with advanced technology and skilled personnel, remains at the forefront in the fight against cybercriminals.
