Self-defense Training Camp held at GHSS Kangan

GANDERBAL, June 6: In a significant initiative to equip girl students with self-defense techniques for their safety and security, a self-defense training camp was today successfully conducted at GHSS Kangan. The event was organized by the Department of Social Welfare Ganderbal in collaboration with YSS Ganderbal under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.
The primary focus of the camp was on the female students of GHSS Kangan, who received extensive training from the Senior Coach of the J&K Sports Council, Saima Jan along with other specialized trainers from the department to empower and uplift young girls through self-defense education.
The training sessions were met with great enthusiasm, drawing a large number of eager participants. The Principal of GHSS Kangan expressed his heartfelt appreciation for this wonderful initiative, emphasizing the significant role self-defense plays in enhancing the morale and confidence of young girls. He further highlighted the necessity of such programs, advocating for their continuation to ensure sustained empowerment of the students. This successful event marks a promising step towards building a safer and more confident future for young girls, aligning perfectly with the objectives of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.
