LPU organised International Students' Graduation Day 2024

JALANDHAR, June 7: LPU hosted an International Students' Graduation Day-2024 at the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for the international students. The ceremony served as a grand celebration for 200+ international students who proudly received their degrees, representing various countries like Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Indonesia, the Republic of Angola, Zimbabwe, and many more from around the world.
Chaired by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and LPU's founder Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, the event was graced by distinguished guests including H.E. Dr. Desire Boniface Some, Ambassador of the Embassy of Burkina Faso, India; Abel Dungui Mavungo, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola, India; and Peter Hobwani, Charge d'Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe, India.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal expressed his delight and congratulated the graduating students on their remarkable achievements. He said, "It is a moment of immense pride and joy to witness the success of our international students. We are honoured to have them as an integral part of our global community at LPU. International students have brought diversity and cultural richness to our campus, which helps foster global understanding, collaboration, and good relations among our students, faculty, and countries. This day marks a significant milestone in their educational journey, and I am confident that they will go on to make a positive impact in their respective fields."
Vice President of LPU Dr. Aman Mittal extended his gratitude to the international students for choosing LPU and placing their trust in the institution. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of LPU's Division of International Affairs in making the campus one of the most internationally diverse campuses, not only in Punjab but also in India, with the highest number of international students.
A spectacular cultural programme was presented by the students, which mesmerised the audience. They showcased the rich diversity and extraordinary talents of LPU's global community. The graduating students also took the stage to share their personal experiences, expressing their heartfelt gratitude towards LPU and considering it their second home.
