JSS hosts successful Vrukshathon Marathon promoting environmental awareness

JAMMU, June 10: Jammu Sanskriti School is proud to announce the successful completion of the Vrukshathon Marathon, held on June 9, 2024. The event brought together parents, faculty, students, and members of the wider community in a vibrant display of commitment to environmental sustainability and physical fitness. The Members of Management ,supporting staff and all the stakeholders participated with vigour and zeal thereby making this Vrukshathon a great success.
The Vrukshathon Marathon was open to participants of all ages and backgrounds, aiming to foster a sense of unity and shared responsibility towards preserving our natural environment.
The inauguration of the event was done by Kartik Shrotriya ( IPS), SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Jammu who appreciated the school for pioneering in Vrukshathon which is one of the kind involving students and community. The event concluded with felicitation ceremony in which winners were awarded with medals.
The event also included the donation of plants and seeds in the adjacent areas for the better implementation of the notion conceived .
Rohini Aima -Principal Cum Vice-Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti School expressed her pride and excitement about the event's success. She stated, "The Vrukshathon Marathon is more than just a race; it is a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. I am thrilled to see such a diverse group of participants come together to support this noble cause. Our school believes in holistic education, and events like these help instill important values in our students, such as teamwork, resilience, and environmental consciousness. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and made this event a grand success."
