| 2 bovine smuggling bids foiled, 31 bovines rescued, 2 vehicles seized | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 10: Jammu police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers under Operation Kamdhenu During intervening night police party of PP Chowki Choura during vehicle checking at Chowki Choura seized one Truck bearing registeration No. JK01AP-1871 and rescued 21 bovines, the unknown driver of truck fled away from spot, taking advantage of darkness.In this regard congnizance taken and case FIR under relevant sections has been registered in PS Akhnoor.
One more bovine smuggling bid foiled by Police team of PS Nagrota in which 10 bovines were rescued and one vehicle Truck bearing registration No.JK14C/8377 driven by unknown driver also seized.In this regard a FIR No.175/2024 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA 50/52/54/56 Transport of Animals Rules stands registered in this Police Station Nagrota. Investigation in both the cases are in progress. The continuous and stringent actions by the Jammu Police have garnered widespread appreciation from the general public, reflecting the community's support for these critical efforts to end bovine smuggling. |
