JAMMU, June 10: The martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji was observed with great reverence at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Rani Talab Digiana, Jammu. Hundreds of devotees thronged the Gurdwara to seek the blessings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC Suchetgarh and Chairman of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, along with S. Mahinder Singh, President of Guru Singh Sabha, were present to commemorate the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Taranjit Singh Tony underscored the paramount importance of serving humanity as the most genuine homage to Guru Arjan Dev's martyrdom. He eloquently elucidated the profound teachings and noble sacrifices of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, emphasizing their enduring relevance in today's world.
The senior Congress leader urged the people to imbibe the essence of Guru Arjan Dev Ji's teachings by embracing the path of selfless service and compassion towards all beings. He emphasized that true devotion lies not only in ritualistic practices but also in actively contributing to the welfare of others. Through his heartfelt address, Tony inspired the gathering to translate their reverence for Guru Arjan Dev Ji into tangible acts of kindness and benevolence, fostering a spirit of unity and goodwill in society.
In honor of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Guru Ka Langar and Chabeel (refreshing drinks) were organized for the devotees. The event was marked by a spirit of unity and devotion, reflecting the core values of Sikhism.
