Jammu, June 10: Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art , Culture and Languages held a mulri-lingual poetic meet at “Bila Chandiya Ghat” at Akhnoor in collaboration with “Chander Bhaga Sanskritic Munch” Akhnoor . The JKAACL was represented by Editor Hindi Shreeza Dr.Chanchal Sharma . The literary meet was Chief Guest by eminent writer and poet K.C.Bhagat Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila President Nami Dogri Sanstha was the Guest of Hinourand the dias was shared by Dr.Chanchal Sharma (JKAACL) who Presided over the Function. At the outset the Maa Saraswati Pratima was garlanded profusely by the participants and the the proceedings of the programme were conducted by SBSM President O.P.Shakir . Both old and new poets participated comprising the locals and the guest poets from Jammu city and other places .
The poets who recited their poetry include Randhir Sungh “Raipuria”, Mohan Bharti , O.P.Deepak , Indu Bhushan Bali , Kewal Kumar , Roshan Baral , Rattan Lal Bharadwaj , Jugal Chanan , Nasib Singh , Ravinder Magotra , Mamta Sharma , Prem Sagar , Renu Sharma , Shan Lal Verma , Satpal Pyasa Mohan Singh Jamwal and Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila.
Varinder Mishra hosted lunch to the participating poets following his retirement from government service .
K.C.Bhagat in his address described the literary meet a grand success where poets from dogri , punjabi , urdu and hindi languages read their poetry on wide range of subjects .
Dr Chanchal Sharma said that JKCAAL is committed to propagate and encourage the local art , culture and languages and this programme is also a par unt of this endeavour .
She further said that literary , cultural and artistic activities strengthen and unite the societies besides imbibing love and compassion in the society .
