Awareness Programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao held

KATHUA, July 18: On the directions of District Social Welfare Officer, Varun Kumar Choudhary (JKAS), SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women under Mission Shakti conducted an awareness programme on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in collaboration with the Primary Health Centre at Anganwadi Centre Sampla Sapla, Kathua. The main objective of this programme was to educate women about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and other women-centric schemes run by the government.
The HEW team also provided awareness on various themes and schemes including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Women Helpline 181, One-Stop Centers, PMMVY, e-SHRAM, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Tejaswini Livelihood Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, pension schemes for widows and disabled individuals, SMAS, Childline 1098, ICPS, and other women-centric initiatives.
The programme was attended by Ex-Sarpanch, Ex-Panch, local women, AWWs, ASHA workers, ladies from various Self-Help Groups, and other local women.
In the concluding part of the programme, the HEW team addressed the grievances of the attendees and assured them of prompt resolution. Baby kits were also distributed to newly born baby girls at the end of the programme.
