Educator’s conclave on New Education Policy held

Jammu, July 28: Radha Foundation, a charitable organisation with founder directors namely S.S. Nathyal and Tanvi Nathyal, formed in memory of Mrs Radha Nathyal is dedicated to create awareness about the subject matter & thus the enclave. The attendees, included S.S Nathyal, Tanvi Nathyal ( founder directors) and Rajesh Mishra as head Management team. Mrs. Sandhya Awasthi, Principal of DPS Greater Noida was guest of honour. The event drew numerous principals, lecturers, and educational luminaries, all gathered to delve into the NEP 2020’s transformative vision and its far-reaching implications for India’s educational landscape.
S.S Nathyal along with Tanvi Nathya” inaugurated the seminar with a compelling keynote address, emphasizing the NEP 2020’s five guiding pillars: Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability, and Accountability.
She articulated how these principles are set to revolutionize the education system, fostering an inclusive and high-quality educational environment that aspires to establish India as a global knowledge superpower. Nathyals underscored the policy’s alignment with the aspirational goals of the 21st century, aiming to modernize India’s educational framework and governance.
Mrs. Sandhya Awasthi provided an insightful analysis of the policy’s potential to overhaul the current educational paradigm. She elaborated on the new 5+3+3+4 curriculum structure designed for students aged 3 to 18, highlighting its focus on foundational literacy, critical thinking, and creative learning. Ms Awasthi stressed the necessity of integrating technology and vocational training to equip students with the skills required to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape. She also noted the NEP’s objective to universalize primary education and achieve foundational literacy across all primary and secondary schools by 2025.
The seminar's discourse extended to the critical role of career counseling in today’s educational milieu. Experts elucidated how career counseling is pivotal in helping students comprehend their strengths, interests, and values, thus enabling informed career decisions and smooth transitions. The debates included on subjects CUET, NEP with multifaceted benefits of career counseling, including heightened self-awareness, a broadened spectrum of career options, improved market alignment, and refined job search skills, were highlighted as indispensable for student success.
Moreover, discussions addressed the challenges inherent in implementing the NEP 2020, such as the adaptation required by educators to new teaching methodologies and the potential difficulties students might face in transitioning to the updated system. Despite these challenges, the consensus was overwhelmingly positive regarding the NEP 2020’s potential to foster an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, thereby driving national growth and prosperity.
Attendees departed with a profound understanding of the NEP 2020’s visionary potential and the essential role of career counseling in shaping India’s educational future. The seminar underscored the collective commitment to nurturing a robust educational ecosystem that prepares students to meet both national and international challenges with confidence and competence.
