| Shiv Sena appeals EC to announce election dates | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 7: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has demanded the Election Commission to announce the dates of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections during its three-day visit. Party state chief Manish Sahni said that the Election Commission team is on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir from 8-10 August, during which there is a program to meet political parties in Kashmir, but once again no discussions are being held with political parties in Jammu. He said that he has no complaint if the Election Commission team announces the dates for the assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir during this tour. He said that the PDP-BJP coalition government fell in 2018. During these six years, dozens of visits have been made by the Election Commission, but no result has come out of the tours. He said that following the orders of the Honorable High Court, the Election Commission should announce the dates of elections in the press conference to be held in Jammu. |
