| GDC Bhagwati Nagar organizes poster competition | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 8: NSS Unit of Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar "Veerangana" conducted slogan writing & poster making competition to commemorate Swachta Pakhwada under the patronage of Dr. Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College. The initiative of swachhta at grass root level is a small step in transforming India into a cleaner, more hygienic nation and making it a symbol of national rejuvenation.
Poster making and slogan writing competition was organised on the theme "Swachh Bharat Viksit Bharat". 16 students participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. In the competition, students expressed their thoughts & views highlighting the importance of Swachh Bharat and its benefits. Prof. Anju Bala, Dr. Pavanjeet Bali and Dr. Mosmi Raina were the judges of the events. The judges adjudged Gurleen Kour of B.Com Sem. Vth, Ananya Jamwal of B.A Sem. Vth and Jaspreet Kour of B.Com Sem. Vth as first, second and third respectively.
The entire event was organised by Dr. Preeti Salathia NSS PO. On the occasion, she motivated students not to keep thoughts of swach bharat in dreams only but try to implement it in letter and spirit. |
