SDM inaugurates CBC's 5 day Multimedia Exhibition on Flagship Schemes at Padder

PADDER, Aug 10: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Padder, Amit Kumar, on Saturday inaugurated multimedia exhibition on Flagship schemes of Government of India including the New Criminal Laws 2013 , organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Doda, at Padder, far flung area of district Kishtwar.
The multimedia exhibition mounted at Sports Stadium Gulabgarh , Padder is part of various outreach activities being organized by CBC, in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
Amit Kumar, appreciated the efforts of CBC in organizing the event in far flung area of Padder. He said that as the Machail Yatra is ongoing and large number of devotees participate in this yatra. He urged all to visit the Exhibition and take first hand awareness of various government Schemes.
The 5 -day long exhibition showcases the various Welfare and Flagship schemes of the Government through a series of photo exhibits as well as audio-visual media. Apart from this special section in the exhibition has been dedicated to Budget 2024, New Criminal Laws 2024 & Mission LiFE where in the highlights of these programmes has been included.
The aim of the multimedia exhibition is to generate awareness among the masses regarding the various initiatives & welfare programmes of Government of India.
Director, CBC, Jammu, Ghulam Abass who presided over the inaugural function gave a detailed overview of the functioning, structure and working of CBC, in the twin UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He also briefed the audience about various outreach activities that will be organized during the event. Abass said that these programmes are being organized so that people get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government.
Speaking on the Occasion, Mubashar Rashid Khateeb from forest department said that there is dire need to save our environment. While elaborating on the vision of Mission LiFE, Khateeb said that responsibility lies on shoulders to protect our own earth from all types of pollution and urged all to live your life for the sustainable development.
Dr. Irfan Shah, Medical Officer from Health department highlighted the various schemes and the achievements in Padder Sub- Division. Elaborating on National Health Programme, Dr. Irfan said that this programme will help to identify the Mental Stress cases and assist them to lead a healthy life.
Ankit Sharma from Police Station, Gulabgarh delivered address on the New Criminal Laws 2023 While explaining the various aspects of the New Criminal Laws, Sharma said that drastic changes are visible in Crime Reporting Mechanism and paradigm criminal Justice System under the New Criminal Laws.
Ankit further elaborated on E-FIR, Zero FIR, E- appearance, and other relevant & Important sections and articles of BNS2023.
Departments from ICDS, Health, Animal Husbandary, Forestry, Agricultural, Handicrafts and Handloom put up their stalls showcasing the various Central Sponsored Schemes of respective departments during the inaugural day.
Others Present during the event were Sh. Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur, Manjeet Singh Katoch, Tehsildar Gulabgarh, Sh. Gurnam Singh from CBC Udhampur Vikram Uppal, from CBC Doda, locals, Students of Degree College Atholi and Govt. High Secondary School Atholi Participated during the programme.
In run up to Exhibition, CBC, organized Pre-Publicity Programme at Himalayan Cultural High School, Gulabgarh to inform people about the various activities being organized by CBC during the Multimedia Exhibition. The Exhibition is open to the public up to 14th August , 2024 during which people may visit the exhibition participate in open Quiz competition and enjoy the cultural programmes.
