BJP's vision for Ladakh becomes reality; Cong left region in cold: Kavinder
8/26/2024 9:55:51 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 26: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, lauded the Modi Government's historic decision to create five new districts in Ladakh, emphasizing that this move would significantly accelerate development and bring governance to the people's doorsteps. He pointed out that this step is yet another example of the BJP's commitment to ensuring equitable development across the region, something Congress had failed to achieve during its decades in power.
"Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership, Ladakh has seen unprecedented growth, from the construction of critical infrastructure like the Zojila Tunnel to the expansion of road and communication networks that were neglected for years by previous governments. With the creation of new districts, the region will now receive focused attention, improving access to government services and fostering rapid socio-economic development," he stated.
The senior BJP leader further added that Congress did nothing substantial for Ladakh during its tenure and ignored the aspirations of its people. "For too long, the region suffered from administrative neglect, but the BJP government has made Ladakh a priority by giving it the status of a Union Territory, implementing various schemes, and now ensuring localized governance through new districts."
Kavinder reiterated that this move would bring administrative convenience to the people and ensure that resources are efficiently distributed across the newly created districts, directly benefiting the citizens. The BJP remains committed to the holistic development of Ladakh and will continue to deliver on its promises.
The senior BJP leader also highlighted the success of other initiatives by the Modi Government, such as the Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency (LREDA), which aims to turn Ladakh into a hub of renewable energy production, and the enhancement of tourism infrastructure, which has boosted the local economy.
"The creation of these new districts is not just an administrative reform but a crucial step in empowering the people of Ladakh, ensuring they have a say in their future. The BJP is transforming Ladakh, while Congress continues to make empty promises," he added.
