EVM Training for Polling Staff Held at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, Sept 1: In preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections, a thorough training session on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was conducted today at Dal Bungalow, here for polling staff in Anantnag. This training was designed to ensure that staff are fully equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for a seamless and efficient voting process.
The training programme, held under the guidance of District Election Officer, Syeed Fakhruddin Hamid, witnessed the participation of polling staff who will be stationed across various constituencies. The training covered crucial aspects including EVM operation, troubleshooting common issues, and safeguarding the integrity of the voting process.
Election officials underscored the significance of this training in upholding the transparency and efficiency of the electoral process. They stressed that proficiently trained polling staff are vital for resolving any technical issues on election day, thereby ensuring accurate vote counting. The training featured hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to help staff become familiar with EVMs and related equipment.
With the election date approaching, officials are optimistic that this comprehensive training will support a smooth electoral process and reinforce the democratic values of fair and transparent voting.
